Christopher F. Olutola

My name is Christopher Olutola and I am the newest member of the Campbell & Cooper  legal team. I was born in London, Ontario, and am the son of a Mediterranean doctor and nurse who immigrated to Canada. I am no stranger to northern living as I spent my formative years in Timmins, Ontario, and later moved to many other places in Ontario including Hamilton, Belleville, Kingston and Ottawa.

I chose law as a profession while attending high school because I was drawn to its direct impact on people’s lives, as well I was intrigued by the opportunity to discuss and deal in matters of social importance. On my path to pursuing a law degree, I attended Queen’s University obtaining a degree in the Honours Bachelor of Commerce Program from 2000 to 2004, later attending the University of Ottawa’s Common Law program from 2004 to 2007 with an intent to gain skills necessary for effective dispute resolution and litigation. Once I had obtained my law degree, I decided to further my education by attending the University of Toronto where I earned a Masters of Industrial Relations and Human Resources.

While attending law school, I met my wife, a fellow lawyer, who hailed from the Quebec area. In lieu of this relationship, I was exposed to many interesting experiences as I was given the opportunity to reside in various regions of Quebec including Amos and Gatineau. This taught me to adapt to difference environments as the population of Amos was mostly francophone thus requiring me to develop an understanding of French Canadian culture, as well as the language. I acquired a number of interesting jobs while residing in Amos including jailer and adult English teacher. Both my wife and I are currently practicing law in Fort McMurray where we live with our young daughter. I currently practice in the areas of Family Law, Employment Law and Personal Injury Law.

As for personal interests, I am a self professed movie aficionado who enjoys watching all genres of films. I also like to keep up to date with the world of politics and current events.
